What is an Application?

In general, an application is a software program designed to perform specific tasks or functions for the user. The term "application" is often used interchangeably with "software application" or "app."

Applications can be developed for various platforms such as desktop computers, mobile devices, web browsers, and servers. They can range from simple utilities to complex enterprise-level systems.

In Btcturk we define 3 different types of applications. Each type of an application has a different role in our system, and they all solve different kind of problems.

An application can be developed using various programming languages and frameworks, depending on the platform and requirements. They can be distributed and installed in various ways, such as through app stores, downloads, or cloud-based services.

Overall, there are 3 types of applications this document is going to discuss: APIs, Consumers and Jobs.
